The research projects will be undertaken within a newly established New England Institute for Healthcare Research (NEIHR). The project has close affiliation with the Hunter New England Local Health District and networks of community based General Practitioners. The context for the PhD scholarships is a multiphase activity that is initially focused on understanding the characteristics of fully-ICT-enabled medical practices in rural settings. Subsequent activity will address the enablers and facilitators of fully-ICT-enabled practice, and then evaluate implementation of interventions. Two 3 year PhD Scholarships are available.

The scholarship is open to Australian (domestic) candidates and must meet UNE’s admission requirements for a PhD program as detailed at: https://my.une.edu.au/courses/courses/PHD. The PhD must be undertaken on a full-time basis. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong research and analytical skills.

To discuss your research proposal, please contact Professor Rod McClure (This email address is being protected from spambots.
