About the team
The School of Population & Global Health (SPGH) in the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences at The University of Western Australia is a research-intensive academic organisation giving material expression of the belief that excellence in research underpins excellence in education and community partnerships. The School has a reputation for an evidence based approach to research and education that influences policy and practice development. SPGH aspires to be a school in which staff and students feel valued and supported in their individual and collective efforts to improve community health and wellbeing. This role will be based in the School but also forms part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences’ Centre for Lifelong Health.
About the opportunity
As Associate Professor, Lifelong Health (Global Health) you will be responsible to the Head of School to provide leadership in Global Health teaching and research on a national basis. You will undertake teaching, research and research supervision, contribute to the academic environment of the School and collaborate with other staff within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the virtual ‘Centre for Lifelong Health’.
Areas of research interest may include, but is not limited to, communicable and non-communicable diseases, child and maternal health, environmental health, nutrition and impact of climate change and geopolitical and resource issues.
