About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding senior academic as Professor or Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health Data Science who has an international reputation for excellence in research directly relevant to public health and/or health services. The successful candidate will establish and lead a unit within the Sydney Local Health District to develop expertise in areas including epidemiology, big data analytics, electronic health records, genomics, health informatics, clinical decision support, machine learning, e-Health, and precision health. This unit will be engaged in applied, practical, implementation-focused research working closely with the School’s Menzies Centre for Health Policy, Biostatistics group, and the Prevention Research Collaboration among others.

Term and remuneration
5 year fixed-term role with an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
