An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the Precision Medicine team at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health. The Research Fellow’s overall objective will be to conduct research investigating aetiology and prognosis of cancer, focusing primarily on genetic and epigenetic susceptibility, tumour molecular profile, and integrative multi-omics analysis, using a range of epidemiological, statistical, and computational methods.

The Role

The Research Fellow will play a critical role in the conduct of research and the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research. The goal is to contribute to the primary prevention, early detection, prediction, and improved prognosis of cancer. As the successful candidate you will work collaboratively with research teams that include senior investigators, research fellows, research assistants, and doctoral/other students and contribute to the guidance of junior staff members and the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies.

About You

You will hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent qualifications or research experience, demonstrated statistical analysis and manuscript and research proposal preparation skills, experience in supervising and working with major honours or postgraduate students, excellent written and oral communication skills and advanced computer skills using software such as R, Stata, Python.

The below are Full-time annual remuneration salaries, should the successful incumbent be appointed at 0.8 Fraction, the remuneration rage will be pro-rata of: 

$68,040 - $92,343 pa Level A (plus 9.5% employer superannuation)

$97,203 - $115,429 pa Level B (plus 9.5% employer superannuation)
