The Clinical Epidemiology and Research Synthesis Methods SIG

The Clinical Epidemiology and Research Synthesis methods Special Interest Group (CERSSIG) was formed in October 2013 to encourage collaboration and networking among researchers interested in clinical research and research synthesis methodologies and to inform members about new and ongoing areas of research into methodology.  Anyone with an interest in quantitative research methods is welcome to join. A CERSSIG mailing list is sent out bi-monthly and we would encourage members to showcase abstracts of published research methods papers within this bi-monthly mailing list by sending this through to the convenor (Suhail Doi).

The aim of CERSSIG is to stimulate interest in new and evolving clinical research methods, provide a network for researchers with an interest in advancing research methods, inform academics, research staff and students (Hons, Masters, and PhD students) who have an interest in – and/or who are currently using or have used these quantitative methodologies. Also, there is the intention to have special workshops at the annual AEA conference to discuss special topics or with keynote speakers selected from the abstracts circulated in the preceding year. In 2016, the pre-conference workshop is titled “Changing the paradigm in our approach to meta-analysis”.

To join please tick the CERSSIG check-box on the membership form or contact the co-convenors Suhail Doi or Gail Williams. Please contact Suhail Do to send in your abstracts.
