The Perinatal and Paediatric Epidemiology Special Interest Group (PPESIG) was formed in August 2007 to provide a forum for focussed discussion on perinatal and paediatric epidemiology, knowledge exchange, and foster collaborative relationships. From initial membership of 36, the PPESIG has now grown to over 65 members.
The current goals for the PPESIG are to:
- Encourage collaboration in perinatal and paediatric research across Australia, New Zealand and Oceania
- Facilitate links with clinicians and policy-makers
- Share the latest in perinatal and paediatric epidemiology research and methods
- Provide an environment for fostering professional development among early career researchers
