Hello! I am the current Queensland Epi Group (QEG) convener. I just wanted to say hi. I will try to remember to check into the forum regularly and participate in discussions here. We will see how this forum goes and if QEG members like it, we can use it a primary source of discussion and resource sharing. Feel free to contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you are a Queensland AEA member and you are not getting any e-mails from me, please let me know and I will add you to the e-mail list. You can also follow me on Twitter (AbbeyDiaz_says); I am trying to remember to tag #QEG in things that come up that I think may be relevant. You can also follow the office AEA Twitter account (@AustralasianEpi) and follow great epi chatter via #EpiTwitter.

I will post another thread on QEG events, we have one coming up soon in Brisbane, we are planning one for early 2020 for either Cairns or Townsville, and we are hoping to have another in Brisbane or the Gold Coast in mid 2020. I am also planning a Twitter-based event, as I know social media is a really useful tool for networking and information sharing for those based more regionally and remotely. There are a few people helping with organising these, but particular thanks goes to Prof Lisa Hall for playing a key role in arranging the logistics of the November 2019 event. ~ Abbey Diaz (Menzies School of Health Research)
