Jessie’s research uses routinely collected data, data linkage and simulations to improve our understanding of the epidemiology of influenza. Her project exploits the unique period in 2020 and 2021 during which influenza was eliminated in Australia to undertake novel analyses. Prior to starting her PhD, Jessie worked as an Epidemiologist as part of the Victorian COVID-19 response and as a research assistant at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity.
