Professor Caroline Finch AO is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Edith Cowan University. She is an internationally-renown injury epidemiologist who is particularly highly regarded for her research into injury surveillance and data systems, sports injury epidemiology and the implementation and evaluation of sports injury prevention programs. Her research has been widely published with a breadth that covers sports and recreational injury, elderly falls, childhood injury, drowning, road safety and implementation science. She regularly provides advice to government departments of both health and sport, as well and international and national peak bodies and agencies, on injury epidemiology and prevention. In 2018, she was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for her “distinguished service to sports medicine, particularly in the area of injury prevention as an educator, researcher and author, and to the promotion of improved health in athletes and those who exercise”. |
