The Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) is a large research database containing microdata about people and households in New Zealand. Data is from a range of government agencies, Statistics New Zealand surveys including the 2013 Census, and non-government organisations.

This symposium will showcase a range of projects using the IDI to answer epidemiological questions on a range of topics including: cardiovascular disease, premature birth, injuries etc. The presentations will focus on the advantages and challenges of using the IDI, data sources used, and outcomes explored. In addition, there will also be other informative presentations on generic topics such as social licence and the IDI, the Māori capability of the IDI. The symposium is supported by the NZ branch of AEA.
