Course on causal inference from observational data

4-day course on "Causal Inference from Observational Data," hosted at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) in Sydney. The course is presented by Prof Miguel Hernán and Dr Joy Shi from Harvard university who are world-leaders in this field. The course promises to be an invaluable experience for researchers seeking to enhance their expertise in causal inference.

Synopsis: This 4-day course at NeuRA introduces concepts and methods for causal inference from observational data. The course will be taught by Professor Miguel Hernán and Dr Joy Shi from the CAUSALab at Harvard University.

Curriculum (December 4-7, 2023)

Day 1: Target trial emulation, introduction to modelling and propensity scores

Day 2: Standardisation and inverse probability weighting including hands-on session

Day 3: Causal survival analysis, biases of conventional analyses, time zero, and checking of emulation of randomisation
