The Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA) invites nominations for the AEA Mentoring Award of 2019.
This award is made to a mid-career or senior member of AEA who has made a significant contribution to mentoring early-career researchers, practitioners, and others in the fields of epidemiology, biostatistics and related disciplines. Its purpose is to formally acknowledge the importance of mentoring in career development and in recognition of the time commitments and other sacrifices that are involved for mentors.
The objectives of AEA include promoting excellence in the practice of epidemiological methods and advocacy for capacity building. Mentoring plays an important role in developing proficiency and increased capacity of the epidemiological workforce, and this award furthers the objectives of the Association.
