Increasingly researchers are using social media to recruit, retain and trace participants, yet there are few formal guidelines to assist with ethical decision making about social media. In this project, we are asking researchers for their views and ethical concerns about using social media in research. We will use the findings to develop ethical guidelines for using social media in research.

Participation in the study involves completing a 20 minute anonymous online survey. Neither the researchers nor your organisation will be identified in the survey.

We are inviting all active Australian researchers to participate.

We would like researchers to participate whether or not they have experience using social media in research.
