The Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) has launching a new campaign Climate Change is a Health Emergency and AEA is a member of CAHA.
The bushfires and smoke have forced the reality of the climate health emergency on much of the country over past months, and right now there is growing public support for action on climate change.
The Climate Change is a Health Emergency campaign aims to channel this support into urgent climate action. Through our campaign we'll:
- Build public understanding on the climate health emergency and support for climate action
- Advocate to all levels of government to act on climate
- Train, resource and support health professionals to take action
- Support health organisations in declaring a climate health emergency and take further action
The devastating fires have killed over 30 people, destroyed thousands of homes & blanketed communities in harmful air pollution. It's clear: climate change is a health emergency. Can you sign the petition calling for climate action to protect our health? http://climatehealthemergency.
